Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be streamed live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" the American as the two fighters met personally to promote next month's heavyweight fight.
Former two time world boxing king Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I will break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Exchange
In spite of these statements, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead targeted ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK rival Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, regularly earning massive financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Difference
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually happening.
